Here is a definition of the word “PROCRASTINATOR”: a person who habitually puts off doing things.
Human nature is such that we will all most likely move forward with things/activities that make us happy and/or feel good. Conversely, many of us will put off (procrastinate) activities that do not bring us happiness. As an example, how many of you procrastinate in finishing off your taxes for the year? This is not a very fun activity, especially for those that owe the IRS money.
Let’s bring the concept of “Procrastinating” to the weight control arena. For those people that need/want to shed weight, there is often a procrastinating component: “I will start my DIET next week.” “I will join a gym next month”. “I will; give up ice cream when Lent comes.”
When it comes to making moves towards becoming healthier, being a ‘Procrastinator” brings zero benefits. Delaying weight control efforts results in a continuation of one of the most significant risk factors for developing life-threatening diseases, such a s heart disease, diabetes, cancer etc.
Do NOT wait for some futuristic day to begin your journey to better health and happiness. Do NOT be a “Procrastinator”.
