Where Are YOU On The “Swagger Meter”?

Here is a  definition of the word “SWAGGER”: walk or behave in a very confident and typically arrogant or aggressive way.

On the surface, this does not sound like a “good” trait as “arrogant or aggressive” implies this comportment by a person will not be accepted well by others.  However, in the sports world, when players are defined as having “swagger” this usually is quite positive and those players tend to produce great results on the field.

Now, let’s bring the concept of “SWAGGER” to the workplace.  I am certain that you know people you work with that display more “SWAGGER” than others.  These people may attain higher levels of advancement based on the fact that if their performance is better than their colleagues, they will be recognized for this.  Their “SWAGGER” is backed by their results.

Another aspect of what level of “SWAGGER” may be present:  How a person “looks”.  When a person is confident in their “look”,  their “SWAGGER METER” rises exponentially.  I have seen this countless times in my multiple decade experience of helping people shed weight.  On the first visit, often people come in with their heads down,  somewhat depressed or angry about having allowed themselves to be in their current state and despondent about previous monies spent on products/programs that do not work.  On the “SWAGGER METER”, based on a 1-10 score, their level is 0-1.

However, when substantial weight loss occurs, the “SWAGGER METER” rises to 9-10.  People that would avoid at any cost seeing others at social occasions now look forward to events that allow them to showcase their new look.  With the weight loss comes ever-increasing levels of confidence and SWAGGER.

What is YOUR score on the “SWAGGER METER”?  If it is lower than you would like and weight control still is problematic, roll up those sleeves and get to work…start focusing on your efforts to lose that weight.  By doing so, your SWAGGER will return.

Here is a singer with a 10 on the “SWAGGER METER”…RIP Tina Turner…simply the best!
