Time To Say Goodbye (But Hello Again)

Well, after 34 years and 5 months, it is now time for me to say “goodbye” to my incredibly wonderful patients in the Northern VA/DC/Maryland area.  I consider myself the luckiest doctor in the world for having been blessed with the most amazing patients and staff a doctor could ask for.   I started the practice at age 32, fresh out of the U.S. Navy.  Despite predatory hospitals opening practices/buying out doctors, national pharmacies competing with inhouse urgent care centers, managed care/insurance barriers and a whole bunch of other “enemies” of private, solo practices such as mine, the practice has been able to thrive.  The reason?  YOU!!!

YOU could have gone to an insurance participating physician.

YOU could have opted for a national weight loss program.

YOU could have left the practice when I opted out of Medicare and other insurance plans.

I cannot thank YOU enough for allowing me the privilege of providing medical care for you and your loved ones.  This has been (and will continue to be, albeit in a different area) an incredible experience.   So many memories of so many great people.  Awesome!!!

For our Northern Virginia patients:  This may be “goodbye” for me, but this is a “hello” to Dr. Alex and The Gajar Practice.  I am thrilled that the practice has been transitioned to a much younger, passionate doctor that will provide great doctoring and caring.  Dr. Gajar is bringing new, exciting services into the practice as well as continuing the weight control program and primary care services.

To our Williamsburg area patients:  “Hello (Again)”.  I am incredibly excited to not only continue to bring my weight program to the area but also now start providing “-concierge” primary care medical services (without the “concierge” price tag!).  Please check out www.doctorbobposner.com or call Nataliya at: 703-606-1103 to set up a free introductory call to learn more.

And with that, I will end with these three videos ( I was gonna post Bette Midler singing “One For My Baby” to Johnny Carson at his farewell show but the below songs are a better fit):

  • “Time To Say Goodbye” with Sarah Brightman and Andrea Bocelli (for my Northern VA patients)

  • “Hello Again” by Neil Diamond (for my Williamsburg area patients)

  • “My Way” by “Old Blue Eyes” (for my family and friends)
